WHAT IS THE DENVER EVALUATION NETWORK
The Denver Evaluation Network (DEN) provides evaluation resources and support for Denver-area cultural institutions located within the 7 county area (Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, and Jefferson). DEN focuses on providing professional development and networking opportunities centered on evaluation practices in cultural institutions. DEN members may represent scientific, cultural, historical, arts or performing arts organizations that offer either a “visitor experience” and/or use collections for work with the public.
DEN will hold group meetings every other month, organize one pan-institutional study per year, provide support to members for studies, and maintain an online presence.
HOW TO JOIN
Submit a Letter of Interest (example) and Member Statement to the DEN Membership & Communications Committee at [email protected].
Member Commitment:
· Individual Members contribute 10 hours as a Research Assistant (RA) for an institutional member or give an Evaluation Capacity Building (ECB) presentation to the membership at a network meeting. Attendance at the meetings is voluntary. Individual Members serve on a committee.
· Institutional Members select a primary representative who will be the liaison for institutional studies, reporting, and attending meetings. The primary representative attends at least 70% of meetings and serves on a committee. Secondary representatives may attend as desired.
